Batch Sync Report (BSR) is a Perl script that creates reports of Batch Sync application from Siebel CRM, version 7. Based on log file of database extraction, it creates reports in HTML that informs:

How it works

The script will connect to a local or remote repository access the log files and the configuration file of Batch Sync. All this information will be processed, and a HTML report will be created. The user can choose to see these reports as a regular HTML document or to publish it in a web server later. Programs like cron or at can be used to execute Batch Sync Report periodically.

Setup

Batch Sync Report can be executed in any that is capable to execute Perl scripts if the machine that runs it can access the batch sync logs from Siebel. BSR is capable to mount shared resources like NFS, Windows File Sharing or Samba file sharing: it's just necessary to setup the bsr.conf (or bsr.ini) file to use the proper method.

Setup in UNIX like OS

Setup in MS Windows OS

To install Batch Sync Reports, just unpack the compacted file (tar+gz) in a folder. The content will be this one:

If you don´t have a software in your MS Windows box is not capable to unpack the tar.gz file, I suggest you to install software like 7zip (http://www.7-zip.org), which is free software, as Batch Sync Report.

It´s necessary to edit the bsr.ini file, selecting options and setup your Siebel servers. You must share some folders in this server so it´s accessible by the script to read the logs and create reports.
